Tidio Pricing: What You Actually Pay

Tidio Pricing: What You Actually Pay

TL;DR

  • Tidio has a free plan, but its free Lyro allowance is limited to 50 conversations for the lifetime of the project. It does not renew every month.

  • Starter costs $29 per month for 100 human-handled conversations. Lyro AI uses a separate paid quota, starting at $39 per month for 50 conversations.

  • A Starter plan with 100 monthly Lyro conversations costs $104 per month before any paid Flow allowance.

  • Tidio is a strong choice when you need live chat, ticketing and AI in one system. matram.ai is the simpler fit when you mainly need grounded website answers, cited sources, unlimited team seats and predictable message-based plans.

Introduction

Tidio's $29 Starter plan is not a $29 AI chatbot plan.

That price covers 100 conversations handled by your team. If you want a renewable Lyro AI allowance, you pay for it separately. Add 100 Lyro conversations and the monthly total becomes $104 before any paid Flow allowance.

This is why Tidio pricing can look simple at first but become harder to estimate. It runs three separate meters: human-handled conversations, Lyro AI conversations and visitors reached through Flows.

This guide explains what each Tidio plan includes, what counts against each limit and what a realistic monthly bill can look like. Prices were checked on 18 September 2026 and are shown in USD.

Tidio vs matram.ai pricing at a glance

Tidio and matram.ai are not identical products. Tidio combines live chat, ticketing, AI and rule-based Flows. matram.ai is a grounded AI chatbot that answers from your indexed content and supports lead capture, booking, routing and human handoff through configured paths.

The prices look similar at entry level, but the billing logic is different. Tidio splits human support, AI and Flows into separate limits. matram.ai includes its grounded chatbot within one message allowance and does not charge by team size.

How much does Tidio cost?

Tidio has five main customer-service plans. Lyro AI and Flows can be added separately, so the base plan is not always the final monthly cost.

Tidio planMonthly pricePrice when paid annuallyMain allowance

Annual prices are monthly equivalents. Tidio describes annual billing as two months free.

Free

The Free plan includes 50 human billable conversations each month, 10 live chat seats and Flows for up to 100 visitors each month. It also includes access to channels such as Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The important detail is Lyro. The first 50 Lyro conversations are free once for the lifetime of the project. They do not reset monthly. When that allowance ends, Lyro stops until you buy a paid quota.

The Free plan is useful for testing or for a very small support volume. It becomes restrictive quickly if customers regularly need a human reply.

Starter

Starter costs $29 per month or $24.17 per month equivalent with annual billing. It includes 100 human billable conversations, 10 seats, live chat, ticketing and 100 Flow visitors.

It does not include a renewable monthly Lyro package. After the initial one-time allowance, ongoing Lyro use requires a separate paid quota.

Growth

Growth starts at $59 per month or $49.17 per month equivalent with annual billing. The starting tier includes 250 human billable conversations and 10 seats.

It adds features such as advanced analytics, permissions, automatic chat assignment and macros. The price increases when you select a higher human-conversation limit.

Growth makes more sense when a team actively handles support inside Tidio. It is less predictable when both human volume and Lyro usage rise together because each has its own meter.

Plus

Plus starts at $300 per month plus monthly usage. It adds custom conversation limits, custom seats, priority support, a dedicated success manager, departments, multiple projects, custom branding and OpenAPI access.

This plan is designed for teams that need more control and support than the standard self-serve plans. The final cost depends on the agreed usage.

Premium

Premium has no public fixed price. It starts from 3,000 Lyro conversations and uses pay-per-resolution billing. It also includes managed AI service, advanced reporting and enterprise support features.

Teams considering Premium need a sales quote. The public page is not enough to calculate the final cost.

What counts as a billable conversation in Tidio?

A human billable conversation is a live chat, ticket, email or social conversation that includes a reply from a human agent or is started by one.

Several messages inside the same thread still count as one conversation. An unanswered visitor message does not count, so spam or messages that need no reply will not use the human quota. Replies sent by Lyro or Flows also do not count as human-agent replies.

This sounds simple, but the free plan has a firm limit. After 50 human conversation threads, new incoming communication can no longer be viewed or answered until the quota resets or the account is upgraded.

How does Lyro AI pricing work?

Lyro uses a separate conversation allowance. Its current monthly pricing starts at:

Lyro allowanceMonthly price
50 AI conversations$39
100 AI conversations$75
500 AI conversations$350
1,000 AI conversations$700

A Lyro conversation is counted when Lyro replies for the first time in a new chat or ticket thread. Multiple Lyro replies within that thread count as one conversation.

There is one detail that can change the count. A thread closes after 15 minutes of inactivity. If the visitor sends another message after that point and Lyro replies, Tidio counts a new conversation.

If Lyro immediately hands the conversation to a person without answering, the interaction does not use the Lyro quota. Paid Lyro allowances reset monthly on the original purchase date.

How much do Tidio Flows cost?

Flows follow paths that you configure in advance. They can collect details, answer predefined questions and start conversations based on visitor activity.

The free allowance reaches up to 100 visitors each month. A paid Flow package starts at $29 per month for 2,000 visitors, or $24.17 per month equivalent with annual billing.

Flow usage is separate from both human billable conversations and Lyro conversations. A business using all three needs to estimate each allowance independently.

What happens when you reach a Tidio limit?

Newer Tidio projects on eligible standard monthly paid plans can be upgraded automatically. Tidio sends an alert at 80% usage and activates an upgrade at 95% of the relevant quota.

Automatic upgrades are enabled by default, but they can be turned off. They do not apply to the Free plan, trial accounts, annual plans or Plus plans.

This setting matters because higher activity can change the bill before the month ends. Check it when setting up the account, especially if support volume changes sharply during launches or seasonal campaigns.

Real Tidio pricing examples

The cleanest way to understand Tidio pricing is to combine the limits a team will actually use.

Example 1: Testing Tidio for free

Monthly total: $0

You receive 50 human billable conversations per month, 100 Flow visitors per month and 50 Lyro conversations once for the lifetime of the project.

This works for evaluation. It is not a renewable 50-conversation monthly AI plan.

Example 2: Starter with 100 Lyro conversations

Monthly total: $104

  • Starter: $29
  • 100 Lyro conversations: $75
  • 100 Flow visitors: $0

The $29 headline becomes $104 once a renewable 100-conversation Lyro allowance is added.

Example 3: Growth with 100 Lyro conversations

Monthly total: $134

  • Growth with 250 human billable conversations: $59
  • 100 Lyro conversations: $75
  • 100 Flow visitors: $0

This is the current calculator total for a team combining entry-level Growth usage with 100 Lyro conversations.

These totals are not automatically expensive. They simply show why the base plan alone does not reveal the complete cost.

Which Tidio plan should you choose?

Your situationBest starting point
You want to test live chat with very low volumeFree
You need basic live chat and ticketing for up to 100 human conversationsStarter
Your support team needs assignment, permissions and better analyticsGrowth
You need custom seats, higher limits and account supportPlus
You need high-volume managed Lyro deploymentPremium
You mainly need grounded website answers with cited sourcesConsider matram.ai

Tidio is the stronger fit when the human support desk is central to the purchase. Its live chat, ticketing and channel coverage are real advantages.

When does matram.ai make more sense?

matram.ai makes more sense when your main goal is to answer website questions from your own content without running separate human, AI and Flow meters.

Its Basic plan costs $29 per month and includes one chatbot, 2,000 messages, three data sources and unlimited team seats. Standard costs $69 for five chatbots and 5,000 messages. Pro costs $199 for 20 chatbots and 20,000 messages. Every plan starts with a 30-day trial and requires no card.

The chatbot gives grounded answers from indexed content with citations. It can also follow configured paths for lead capture, booking, routing and human handoff. It does not create unscripted multi-step plans at runtime.

matram.ai is not a complete live chat and ticketing platform. If your team needs agents to manage a shared support inbox inside the same product, Tidio is likely the better fit. If you need reliable self-service answers, clear source citations and unlimited team access, matram.ai keeps the buying decision simpler.

Frequently asked questions

Is Tidio free?

Yes. Tidio has a permanent Free plan with 50 human billable conversations and 100 Flow visitors per month. It also includes 50 Lyro conversations once for the lifetime of the project. The Lyro allowance does not renew monthly.

How much does Tidio cost per month?

Tidio can cost $0 on Free, $29 on Starter, from $59 on Growth or from $300 plus usage on Plus. Premium requires a quote. Lyro AI and higher Flow allowances may add separate monthly charges.

How much does Lyro AI cost?

Lyro starts at $39 per month for 50 AI conversations with monthly billing. A 100-conversation allowance costs $75 per month. Tidio also provides 50 Lyro conversations once for free, but that allowance does not reset.

Does Tidio charge per agent?

Free, Starter and Growth include 10 seats. Plus and Premium use custom seat limits. The main published usage charges are based on conversations and Flow visitors, not a separate price for every included seat.

Does Tidio automatically upgrade plans?

It can. On eligible newer projects with standard monthly paid plans, automatic upgrades are enabled by default. Tidio alerts the account at 80% usage and upgrades the relevant allowance at 95% unless the setting is disabled.

Is matram.ai cheaper than Tidio?

It depends on what you need and how much you use. Both start at $29 per month, but they count different things. Tidio separates human conversations, Lyro conversations and Flow visitors. matram.ai uses a message allowance and includes unlimited team seats. Compare your expected usage, not only the entry price.

The bottom line

Tidio pricing works well when you understand the three meters behind it. The $29 Starter plan covers human support, not an ongoing monthly Lyro allowance. Once AI and Flow usage are added, the total can change quickly.

Choose Tidio if you need a combined live chat, ticketing and AI workspace. Choose matram.ai if your priority is grounded answers, visible citations, unlimited seats and a simpler message-based plan.

The right choice is not the product with the lowest headline price. It is the one whose billing unit matches the work your customers actually create.
