Team, workspace and your data

Roles in a Matram workspace

A workspace has three roles: owner, admin and agent. Teammates you invite join as admins or agents.

Two areas are owner-only: Billing & Usage and the Danger Zone at the end of this article.

Invite teammates

1. Open Profile & Team from the main navigation.

2. Enter your teammate's email address and choose their role: admin or agent.

3. Send the invitation.

Invite the people you need. Teammates can reply to visitors from Chat History and the Inbox, which matters when a visitor asks for a human.

Change roles and remove members

The same Profile & Team page lists every member of the workspace. From there you can change a member's role or remove them from the workspace entirely.

The Branding page

The Branding page holds your white-label settings: brand name, logo, brand colour and a custom domain.

One thing the Branding page does not do: it does not remove the "Powered by Matram" watermark from the live chat widget. Watermark removal is a paid add-on, advertised on the Standard and Pro plans.

Delete your workspace (Danger Zone)

The Profile & Team page includes a Danger Zone that only the owner can use. Deleting the workspace from here removes everything in it: every chatbot, all trained content, all conversations and all captured leads. There is no partial delete from the Danger Zone; it is the whole workspace.

Export what you want to keep first. Your leads and conversations are exportable; leads download as a CSV from the Leads tab.

You do not need the Danger Zone to remove a single piece of content. Deleting a training source removes that source's content from the bot.

How your data is handled

  • Workspace isolation: your workspace's data is separated from every other customer's, and the isolation is enforced at the database.
  • Connector tokens are stored encrypted.
  • Your content is never used to train AI models, and it is never shared across customers.
  • Retrieval is scoped to a single bot, so one bot never answers from another bot's content.
  • Leads and conversations are exportable at any time.
