Channels you can connect
The Channels page lets the same chatbot answer inside the messaging tools your customers already use. Replies come from the same trained content as your website widget, with the same source citations.
- Slack
- Crisp
- Messenger
- Freshchat
- Google Chat
- Zoho SalesIQ
The Basic plan includes the website widget. The Standard and Pro plans include connected channels. See plans and usage limits for the full breakdown.
Connect a channel
Open Channels in the main navigation. Each channel asks for two things from your provider account:
- 1. Pick the channel you want to add.
- 2. Paste the webhook URL.
- 3. Enter the account id from your provider account.
- 4. Save the channel.
Slack, Messenger, Google Chat and Zoho SalesIQ also have guided OAuth setup on the Connections page. That flow signs you in to the provider and walks you through the link step by step, which is the easier route for those four.
Message delivery depends on the provider credentials being configured on the connection. If the credentials are missing or wrong, the channel saves but replies do not arrive, so always finish with a test.
Send a test message
After connecting, verify the channel from the customer side. Open the channel itself, for example your Slack workspace or your WhatsApp number, and send a question the bot can answer from its trained content. When the reply comes back, the channel is live.
If no reply arrives, check the webhook URL and account id you entered, and confirm the provider credentials on the connection. Then send the test again.
How channel replies behave
- Replies include citations, the same source references the widget shows, so readers can see where an answer came from.
- Every channel reply counts against your monthly message quota, the same as widget messages.
- When a teammate takes over a conversation, the bot is muted on that thread. Your teammate's replies go to the visitor while the bot stays quiet.
Channel conversations appear alongside website chats, and replies you send from the dashboard reach the visitor on the channel they wrote from. See chat history and inbox for how takeover works day to day.
