Set a conversation goal

Point every chat at support, demo booking, or lead capture, without turning the bot pushy.

Choose a goal

Open your chatbot and go to the Conversation Goal tab under Customizations. The goal tells the bot what a successful conversation looks like beyond answering questions. There are three options:

  • Support (the default). The bot focuses on answering questions.
  • Demo booking. The bot invites interested visitors to book a demo and can show your scheduling link.
  • Lead capture. The bot invites visitors to leave their contact details.

If you run a SaaS product, demo booking usually fits best. For a small business or a real estate agency, lead capture tends to be the better choice, since the next step is a call rather than a product demo.

Answers come first

Whatever goal you pick, the bot answers the visitor's question first. It makes at most one goal invitation per conversation. A visitor who ignores the invitation keeps getting normal answers and is not asked again in that chat.

Lead card title override

The lead form in the widget has a title. By default it reads "Leave your details". On the Conversation Goal tab you can override this title, for example to "Request a valuation" or "Get a callback", so the form matches the goal you set.
