An AI chatbot trained on your content
Matram is an AI chatbot that you train on your own content. You add website pages, uploaded files, and text snippets, and the bot answers visitor questions from that material. You do not write scripts or decision trees.
Answers are grounded in what you trained. Under each answer the chat widget can show up to 4 source pills, so visitors can see which page or document the answer came from.
Beyond answering questions, the bot captures leads with a short contact form, and it hands the conversation to a person when a visitor asks for one. Your team replies from the dashboard and the visitor sees the reply in the same chat window.
What Matram does not do
Matram does not invent answers. By default the AI answer style is strict: the bot only answers from your trained content, and it declines questions that content does not cover. You can switch to a flexible style that allows small talk and general knowledge, but facts about your company still come only from your content.
If the AI provider has an outage, a built-in machine learning model keeps answering greetings and common questions, so the chat never goes silent.
Finding your way around the dashboard
The top-level navigation has seven areas: Chatbots, Inbox, Channels, Connections, Tools, Billing & Usage, and Profile & Team. Chatbots is where you build and manage each bot. Inbox shows live conversations across your workspace. Profile & Team is where you invite teammates.
Inside a chatbot, the pages are grouped into three sets:
- Top tabs: Agent, Playground, Installation, Chat History, and Leads. Agent holds the model choice and core settings, Playground is a test chat, Installation gives you the embed code.
- Knowledge Base: Custom Responses, Text Snippets, Website Links, Files & Data Sources, Response Engine, and Prompt-based Responses. This is where training content and answer behaviour live.
- Customizations: Conversation Goal, Conversation Starters, Conversation Followups, Chatbot Instructions, Chatbot Persona, Language & Region, and Appearance.
Plans start at $29
You can start free with no credit card. Paid plans are Basic at $29 a month with 2,000 messages, Standard at $69 with 5,000 messages, and Pro at $199 with 20,000 messages. Enterprise pricing comes from sales.
The monthly message quota is the one hard limit: when it is reached, the bot pauses until you upgrade, add extra messages, or the cycle resets. Other plan numbers, such as how many chatbots or sources each tier includes, describe what the plan is designed for. See plans and usage limits for the full breakdown.
